Shutter Island, really?? Also, depending on which "The Mechanic" you saw, I could agree... the Jason Statham-remake is terrible, but the Charles Bronson-original is great!
ReplyDeleteWell, a lot of it also depends on the circumstances that I've seen a film. And well, what can I say - everything Scorsese touches turns into gold! ;D
ReplyDeleteYea, The Mechanic was the Jason Statham version. Urgh
Yeah, that's true, although some of it is only gold-tainted (like Shutter Island). It's not bad, but still.. it could be better! :P
DeleteI think my own top-3 (of those films you watched) is: The Shining > Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring > The Dark Knight.... tough to choose only 3 though! Looks like a good month you had... 3 years ago. Make some more updates! :D
Well, my top 3 was based on the movies I hadn't seen before... LoTR and TDK I had seen! ;D
DeleteOh, and Batman Begins > The Dark Knight ;D
That's a very arbitrary way of sorting the films... why not just rank them after general quality? Makes it easier to discuss! Or perhaps make TWO rankings... one for "new" films, and one for "old" films? Just a suggestion ;)
DeleteOh, and... no! The Dark Knight > Batman Begins > The Dark Knight Rises... or if you want to include all the 90's Batman-movies as well, then it's The Dark Knight > Batman Returns > Batman Begins > Batman 1 > The Dark Knight Rises > Batman Forever > Batman & Robin. Haven't seen the Adam West-Batman yet, so that's not included... nor is the animated series :P
Don't hate on Batman Forever <3333333!!! ;D
DeleteBut nah, I think Batman Begins was better than The Dark Knight! ;D
No hate on Batman Forever, just more love for the other Batman-films! ;) - But it's only a matter of small margins anyway, as they're all good (except Batman & Robin of course)!
